'Helene' is a dense upright shrub noted for its abundant single, trumpet-shaped white flowers that are adorned with dark violet throats along the branches. It blooms continuously from midsummer to early fall. Best flower production is obtained in full sun. It requires regular care and upkeep. The best time to prune it is in late winter after the threat of extreme cold has past. Can tolerate wind and seashore conditions. Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Deer are not particularly attracted to it.
