'Lavender Chiffon' is a dense upright shrub with bold semi-double lavender flowers with rose centers along with branches  from midsummer to early fall. Best flower production is obtained in full sun. It requires regular care and upkeep. The best time to prune it is in late winter after the threat of extreme cold has past. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. Can tolerate wind and seashore conditions. Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Deer are not particularly attracted to it.

Also known as Shrub Althea.
