The huge panicle shaped white flowers turn pink and strawberry red from mid summer to late fall. The red coloration persists for 3-4 weeks, while new white flowers continue to emerge, making for a sensational multi color show! Upright red stems cascade by the end of the season. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. The best time to prune this hydrangea is in late winter once the threat of extreme cold had passed. Excellent specimen plant, and for cut or dried flower arrangements.
