Weigela Wine and Roses is a fantastic shrub to add to any garden. Its dark foliage with dark rosy pink flowers compliment each other adding unique color to the garden. It flowers profusely in May to June and continues to produce flowers all summer long although more sparse than the first bloom. Weigela Wine and Roses attracts Hummingbirds and butterflies with its dark pink, funnel shaped flowers.
This particular planting is not particular about soil type. It does, although, enjoy being planted in full sun as this is what brings out the pigments of the foliage for optimum beauty. Weigela Wine and Roses is drought and heat tolerant once it is established and makes a great foundation planting.
If you are looking to add color from spring to fall, then Weigela Wine and Roses is what Stratham Circle Nursery would recommend.
