Winter King Hawthorn is a great accent tree has something to offer year round. It is covered with clusters of snowy white flowers atop the branches in mid spring. Abundant showy red fruit hang from the branches from early fall into late winter. The green pointy leaves turn an outstanding burgundy in the fall. When the foliage falls, the peeling silver bark adds winter interest to the landscape. It has a criss-crossing branching habit and is thorny. This is a selection of a native North American species.
