This prolific spring bloomer has pretty rounded white bracts that are large and stiff; an upright tree with layered branches and full, rounded form with excellent powdery mildew resistance. The dark green leaves turn a nice red to purple color in the fall. The creamy-white flowers bloom in early spring shortly after, but usually overlapping, the blooms of the redbuds. Attractive, abundant, bright red fruits are loved by birds. They mature and the end of summer or early fall. The warty gray bark adds an interesting dimension to the landscape.
Definitely a four season interest tree.
