A wonderful groundcover evergreen for general landscape and garden use, featuring bluish-green, scale-like foliage which takes on a purplish tinge in winter, attractively arching low branching habit, wide spreading; extremely adaptable and hardy; a superb groundcover. ​Its species name horizentalis refers to the tendency of its long, trailing branches to spread much farther horizontally than it grows vertically. Native.
