‘Blue Cassel’ is a compact hydrangea that has very pretty violet blue lace-cap flowers with rose overtones at the ends of the branches from early summer into fall. The blue color is dependent on acidic soil. These flowers will rebloom, blooming on both old wood as well as the new wood. This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season's flowers. Plant these shrubs as an understory plant, or as a beautiful hedge or border anywhere in your garden that receives afternoon partial shade. The glossy pointy leaves do not develop any appreciable fall
