A fast growing, tough, and reliable shrub featuring rich, dark green oval leaves. It has dull white, heavy scented flowers in June and July. Takes very well to shearing, making it a great option for hedges, screens, and windbreaks. Varying from deciduous to semi-evergreen, depending upon the severity of the climate. In zone 7 it's evergreen to semi-evergreen. Tolerant of pollution and coastal exposures. Deer resistant.
