Providing long-lasting color from spring to fall, Spirea Double Play® Candy Corn® is a striking shrub of rounded habit with fiery candy apple red leaves in spring, maturing to bright pineapple yellow. Since the new growth continues to emerge bright orange all season, it creates a dazzling mix of cheerful red, orange and golden colors. In summer, abundant clusters of dark purple flowers grace the tips of branches. Flowers on new wood, so prune in late winter to early spring, if needed. It is a good choice for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds to your yard and is ignored by deer. Also known as Japanese Spirea.
