Fraser Firs have flattened, shiny, sweetly fragrant needles that are dark green with white banding underneath. The elongated, upright cones are deep purple, and as they mature they turn a pale brown. Used as a specimen, for screening, or a Christmas tree.  Does not tolerate drought conditions or salt.  Prefers moist, well-drained soil. It is native to North American. Not deer resistant.
