It is noted for its dense, upright, pyramidal shape that tends to fill out right to the ground. It grows best in morning sun and afternoon partial shade. It will tolerate a variety of soil textures as long as they drain well.  It has rich green evergreen foliage. The small round leaves remain green throughout the winter. It is low maintenance and  tolerant of pruning. It is a good choice for attracting bees to your yard.  Deer and rabbit resistant.
