'Judy Zuk' is an excellent yellow deciduous magnolia with an upright and pyramidal shape. Magnificent, fragrant, tulip-like blooms appear in the early spring before the leaves. The buds emerge with a creamy yellow color then turn a yellow with hints of orange and pink. As the blooms fall from the tree in a shower of petals, the dark green leaves begin to emerge. The fall foliage is crimson-bronze. It makes an amazing specimen tree. Like most magnolias, it prefers a moist, fertile and well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. Protect from strong wind to enhance and prolong the flowering season. Attracts bees, butterflies and other wildflife. Deer resistant.
