Little Spark® is a compact spirea with orange new growth that holds its yellow foliage color throughout the summer, even in full sun situations. A summer bloomer, the pink flowers arise just above the foliage; if you give them a quick shear when they are done, it will rebloom in late summer. Fall color includes shades of pink, creating a multi-toned effect. Little Spark® is a fantastic and more compact substitution for 'Goldflame,' which has shown consistent issues with foliage reversion. These flowers attract a range of pollinators, contributing to local biodiversity. They also add an additional layer of color contrast against the bright foliage. Pruning should be done in late winter or early spring. It is also ignored by deer.
