Montgomery Blue Spruce has attractive blue foliage. It is a dense, mounded evergreen shrub that develops a strong leader and eventually will grow into a miniature stocky tree. Montgomery Blue Spruce will grow to a height of 4’ – 6’ with a spread of 3’- 4’ but can reach a height of 10’ with a spread of 6’ – 8’. It is best suited to a full sun location with a minimum of 6 hours of sun each day. It does maintain its foliage to the ground with no necessity of understory or plants around it. This particular Spruce can grow 4’-6’ a season with no pruning maintenance required. It does well in most soil types but will not tolerate standing water. It can be considered drought tolerant as well as tolerant to salt and pollution.
