A popular and durable tree, ideal for windbreaks, screening, and background plantings. This dense tree has interesting droopy branches. The new growth is light green in spring and  a lovely darker green for rest of the year. The long reddish-brown cones hang like ornaments from the weeping branches. It supports a wide variety of wildlife, such as birds and small mammals. Prefers moist, sandy, acidic, well-drained soils. Deer resistant.
