Selected for its resilience to harsh winter conditions, the sturdy, compact evergreen produces a densely branched, classic pyramid that is covered with medium green needles. The rich green foliage emerges light green in spring. The needles remain green throughout the winter. This is a high maintenance shrub that will require regular care and upkeep. When pruning is necessary, it is recommended to only trim back the new growth of the current season, other than to remove any dieback. This is a selection of a native North American species. Grows 6-10 inches a year.
