The European 'Pinocchio' Hornbeam is a tall, deciduous shade tree featuring a narrow upright habit. Its attractive, columnar form features dense branches when young and when it matures it will grow into a broad cone shape. The dark green deeply furrowed, finely toothed unique leaves turn yellow-orange for fall. Great for narrow space landscapes and may be planted as street trees. It is more upright than the species and 'Fastigiata'.
