One of the best red maples. Dark green shiny foliage turns brilliant orange-red to red in the fall that is retained longer than most other rubrums. Dense, upright branching habit makes it a great choice for street and lawn use. The winged summer fruit  is popular with squirrels and birds. Very hardy.
