‘Star’ Magnolia is a beautiful small, deciduous tree or large shrub with a compact habit. In early spring, an abundance of perfumed flowers adorn the bare branches. They open in a beautiful star-shape that are snow white. The dark green leaves turn a coppery-bronze in the fall. Like most Magnolias, 'Star' prefers a moist, fertile and well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. Protect from strong wind to enhance and prolong the flowering season. Attracts bees and butterflies. Deer resistant.
