A bigleaf hydrangea in the Endless Summer collection. If you are looking for a vibrant pop of color to add to your garden, Summer Crush is a winner. It is not only drop dead gorgeous, but compact, too. It boasts a profusion of rounded flower heads densely packed with big, raspberry-red or neon purple blooms. Blooming on both old and hew growth, this reblooming hydrangea flowers consistently and provides gorgeous color all season long. The flowers are borne on strong, upright stems about the handsome foliage of glossy green leaves. Removal of spent flowers will encourage rebloom. Attracts butterflies and bees and it is salt tolerant. Perfect size for patio containers. To change their color, add aluminum sulfate to the soil to make the flowers bluer or add lime to the soil to make them pinker. Treatment should occur ahead of time (late fall or early spring).
