'Vanderwolf Limber Pine' makes a dramatic specimen tree or an effective screener small grouping in large garden beds and borders. Long, blue-green needles cover the uniformly twist to give it a two toned appearance. The needles are highly ornamental and remain bluish-green throughout the winter. The shaggy gray bark adds an interesting dimension to the landscape. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. This is a relatively low maintenance tree. When pruning is necessary, it is recommended to only trim back the new growth of the current season, other than to remove any dieback. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution. This is a selection of a native North American species.
