'Tortuosa', also known as 'Parasol', is a sculptural tree that is perfect in any landscape. It is a living piece of art! The contorted habit that it gets with age is heavily desirable, grabbing anyone's attention. The foliage is green in the spring and summer. In autumn, the serrated leaves turn a golden yellow and then orange by late fall. During the winter with the leaves off, older specimens of 'Tortuosa' give even more interest in the landscape due to their twisted and sculptural habit and the showy silver bark. Most specimens grow wider than tall.
