One of the finest trailing junipers having a uniform, full centered growth habit. The lowest growing and possibly the slowest growing juniper. 'Blue Rug' had intense scale-like, silvery-blue evergreen foliage which turns plum purple in the fall and persists through the winter. It's extremely hardy and adaptable and is excellent for large scale groundcovers or cascading over walls. Blue berries from late spring to late winter.
